Role Overview

The Structural Engineer supports the development of structural design and calculations for construction documents while working closely with senior engineers and project managers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering analysis and design of wood structures

  • Assist in developing project layouts and load paths

  • Prepare initial plan markups and structural details

  • Support development of loading criteria

  • Perform quality control review of plans and notes

  • Coordinate with internal team members and consultants

  • Prepare calculations, reports, and technical documents

  • Assist with client communication as needed

  • Attend meetings and site visits when required

  • Review submittals and assist with RFIs

  • Maintain company standards and procedures

 

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil or Structural Engineering

  • 3–7 years relevant experience

  • PE license required

  • Understanding of structural design principles

  • Experience with wood framing preferred

  • Proficiency in structural software

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit preferred

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Role Overview

The Senior Project Engineer leads the structural design and calculations for construction documents. This role is responsible for making key design decisions, coordinating with clients, and guiding internal team members throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering analysis and design of wood-framed structures

  • Develop project layouts, load paths, and structural concepts

  • Prepare and review plan markups and structural details

  • Establish loading criteria and design approach

  • Perform quality control reviews of plans and calculations

  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, and clients

  • Prepare calculations, reports, and construction documents

  • Mentor and support junior engineers

  • Attend client meetings and site visits as required

  • Review submittals and respond to RFIs

  • Maintain company standards and procedures

 

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil or Structural Engineering

  • 7–15 years relevant experience

  • Strong knowledge of wood framing systems

  • Experience leading residential or multifamily projects

  • Proficiency in structural software

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit preferred

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
